The Possibility Project is currently holding auditions for youth – ages 16 to 24, who have been involved in the juvenile justice system – to be a part of our Youth Justice Program. The auditions are held in groups and are non-competitive. They consist of simple acting, dancing, and singing activities. No one is chosen on the basis of talent. We are looking for youth who want to share their story with others, learn to change the world, and create an original musical from their lives and experiences.
The Youth Justice Program will bring together up to 20 youth who will learn to build relationships across differences, examine oppression, resolve conflicts, become leaders, and engage in community action while undergoing training in acting, improvisation, movement, dancing, voice, singing, and playwriting. Together, this cast will write and then perform an original musical from their stories for four nights Off-Broadway in February 2026.
Rehearsals will take place at The Possibility Project at 377 5th Avenue (near 35th Street) on Mondays and Wednesdays after school from 4:30pm – 7:30pm starting July 14, 2025 and finishing March 14, 2026.
